ABOUT AIVR

2024 8th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality (AIVR2024) brings together researchers and scientists, both industrial and academic, developing novel Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality outcomes. Research in Virtual Reality (VR) is concerned with computing technologies that allow humans to see, hear, talk, think, learn, and solve problems in virtual and augmented environments. Research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) addresses technologies that allow computing machines to mimic these same human abilities. Although these two fields evolved separately, they share an interest in human senses, skills, and knowledge production. Thus, bringing them together will enable us to create more natural and realistic virtual worlds and develop better, more effective applications. Ultimately, this will lead to a future in which humans and humans, humans and machines, and machines and machines are interacting naturally in virtual worlds, with use cases and benefits we are only just beginning to imagine.

AIVR 2024 will be held in Fukuoka, Japan during July 19-21, 2024 with focusing AI technologies and virtual reality. Past conferences were held in Nagoya (2018), Singapore (2019), virtual conferences (2020, 2021 and 2022) and Kumamoto (2023) respectively. This conference in the successful AIVR series provides an ideal opportunity for reflection on developments over the last two decades and to focus on future developments. We look forward to welcoming AIVR2024 in Fukuoka to provide the international community with a highly interactive and scientifically excellent conference to further the translation of promising AI & VR technologies.

SUBMISSSION

Each paper must be submitted via the Online Submission System after being prepared by following the Springer Template Specific Template (LaTeX Template or Microsoft Word Template) and be subject to both review and editing.

PUBLICATION

All accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings published by Springer-Verlag in One volume of Springer Book Series Smart Innovation, System and Technologies (SIST).The book series is indexed by SCOPUS, EI Compendex, INSPEC, WTI Frankfurt eG, zbMATH, Japanese Science and Technology Agency (JST), SCImago, DBLP. All books published in the series are submitted for consideration in Web of Science.

Extended and improved version of selected papers from AIVR2024 will be recommended to be published in International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems (ISSN online:1755-0564; ISSN print: 1755-0556), which will be submitted for indexing by Scopus (Elsevier), Compendex [formerly Ei] (Elsevier), Academic OneFile (Gale, cnpLINKer (CNPIEC), DBLP Computer Science Bibliography
